| 内容記述 | ヤコブの手紙は、福音書に記されたイエスの教えとの類似点の多さから、何らかのかたちでイエス伝承に依拠していると考えられてきた。それにも関わらず、その関連性を示す明確な表現がない上に、福音書の記述との言葉上の一致も少ない。この理由について先行研究では、著者が知恵文学の伝統やローマの教育学を背景としながら、あくまで自分自身の言葉としてイエス伝承を提示しているためであるとの説明が試みられてきた。しかし、本稿ではその理由が、著者自身の述べる「語ること」に関する教えとの関連で説明できることを示す。特に本稿はその糸口として、ヤコブの手紙5章12節「誓いの禁止」（及び、その比較対象となる並行箇所であるマタイの福音書5章34-36節）の言語行為理論を用いた分析を行い、その提示の仕方の特徴を明らかにする。その上で、その特徴が教えの内容と一致することを指摘する。分析を通して浮き彫りになるのは、ヤコブの手紙における「誓いの禁止」の提示の仕方の特徴が、著者が正面に出る語り口であること、また、著者自身の権威が重要視されている語り口だということである。これは、「誓いの禁止」の教えの内容と一致する。「誓いの禁止」は、神の名を用いて自身の言葉の真実性を保証しようとすることを避けさせ、嘘偽りのない真実な言動を勧める教えである。つまり、著者はイエスの名の権威に訴える語り方を避け、あくまで自分自身の「真実なことば」として語るよう努めているのである。ヤコブの手紙がイエス伝承に依拠しながらも、その関連性を明確に示さず、福音書の記述との言葉上の一致が少ないことの理由は、以上のような著者の姿勢によるものだと考えられる。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | The Epistle of James has been considered to be in some way dependent on the Jesus tradition because of its many similarities with the teachings of Jesus as recorded in the Gospels. Nevertheless, there are no clear expressions indicating their connection and little verbal agreement with the Gospel accounts. Previous studies have attempted to explain this as the author presenting the Jesus tradition in his own words, against the background of the wisdom literature tradition and Roman pedagogy. However, this paper shows that this reason can be explained in relation to the author’s own teaching on ‘speaking.’ In particular, as a clue to this, this paper analyses James 5:12’s prohibition of oaths (and the parallel passage to which it is compared, Matthew 5:34-36) using speech act theory in order to clarify the characteristics of the way it is presented. It will then be pointed out that the characteristics are consistent with the content of the teaching. What emerges through the analysis is that the characteristic of the manner of presentation of the prohibition of oaths in the Epistle of James is a narrative in which the author’s character is shown, and a narrative in which the author's own authority is emphasized. This is consistent with the content of the teaching of the prohibition of oaths. The prohibition of oaths is a teaching that discourages the use of God’s name to guarantee the truthfulness of one’s words and encourages truthful words and deeds. In other words, the author avoids speaking in the authority of Jesus’ name and strives to speak only his own ‘truthful word’. The reason why the Epistle of James, while relying on the Jesus tradition, does not clearly show its connection and has little verbal agreement with the Gospel accounts, can be attributed to the author’s attitude as described above. | |||||
